Serological and antigen test that we carry out at Clínica Nasser confirm false negatives in PCR and confirm if you are infected with COVID in the early and middle stages of the infection. The detection process lasts between 10 and 15 minutes and they have a high reliability rate, higher than 95% in both cases.
Both the serological and antigen tests are CE certified and approved by the Spanish Medicines Agency.
After obtaining the results, we provide the patient a medical certificate.

Why should I do the home testing?
If we carry out the COVID test at home, we avoid displacements to health centers, thus reducing the probability of contagion. In addition, it is the great convenience of staying at home and obtaining the results in just 10 minutes.
For the elderly and other populations at risk from COVID, it is important to carry out tests at home to avoid going out. As well as for those people who, for reasons of disability or dependency, cannot or do not wish to go to a clinic.
Is the test carried out when I want?
When making the reservation, you must indicate the day and time you want, the appointment being subject to the availability of the Nasser Clinic health team. Once the test reservation is completed, the healthcare professional will contact you as soon as possible. This is when the date and time you have requested will be confirmed.
In which locations is the home service available?
The home service to perform serological, antigen and combined tests is available for the cities of Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel.
When do I receive the certificate?
What is the security protocol?
Throughout the procedure, the sanitary standards recommended by the authorities are followed. The health professional will be protected by personal protective equipment (PPE) from before entering the home until leaving it.
What happens if the test result is positive?
If your test has a positive result, we immediately notify the competent health authority.
To find out if you are no longer transmitting the infection, we offer you to repeat the antigen test 10 days later. Thus, you will find out if you have already passed the infection.
What is an antigen test?
The antigen test that we perform at Clínica Nasser detects the presence of the coronavirus in the body; which allows us to know if the patient is currently positive for the virus. The antigen detects the N protein of the coronavirus in a respiratory sample.
In addition to obtaining the result in 10 minutes, the great advantage of this test is that it has a high sensitivity in the first days of the infection. Specifically, the sensitivity up to the fourth day of infection is 96% and 90% thereafter.
This rapid diagnosis makes it an ideal option for those patients with symptoms or who have had close contact with a person positive for coronavirus.
What is a serological test?
The serological test that we carry out at Clínica Nasser detects immunity against coronavirus; measures the presence of antibodies, identifies IgG / IgM immunoglobulins and discriminates them, which allows us to know, on the one hand, if the patient is currently positive for the virus and, on the other hand, if the disease has already passed.
It is advisable to perform the serological test 3/4 days after a PCR test for three reasons:
- In case the PCR is a false negative and the patient could have generated antibodies.
- To confirm the negative result of the PCR and be sure that the patient is not infected.
- If the PCR test is positive, once the confinement time required by the Health Authorities has elapsed, you can confirm if the patient has generated antibodies and has passed the infection.
Why should I take both tests?
If we perform the serological and antigen test at the same time, we will be able to detect the infection in a longer period of time and almost obtain a 100% reliability because we will know:
